Tiger is a woodcut print Franz Marc created in 1912, depicting two tigers in the natural background. With few straight lines, bold lines cut through the whole picture and constitute the tiger’s body, tail, stripe patterns and the plants surrounding them.

Tigers, as well as other animals, played a central role in the art of Franz Marc, who believed that the spiritual purity of nature could be expressed through the depiction of these wild creatures.
